Spokane Public Schools Foundation Gets Fresh New Look

Sep 2, 2021

The Spokane Public Schools Foundation (SPSF) recently updated its 15-year-old logo to serve a more modern, growing organization.

“No logo can stay relevant forever,” said Katie Scofield, SPSF president and Numerica Credit Union Community Development & Impact Relationship Manager, “and our Foundation continues to grow and look forward to how we support the students and educators of the state’s second largest public school system. It is only fitting that our logo reflects our vision for the future.”

The Spokane Public Schools Foundation provides grants to educators for creative, new approaches to education that is meaningful for all students, including innovative STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) projects and initiatives. Grants are solicited from educators and made in the spring for the following school year. SPSF has granted over $400,000 to date, but is interested in growing both the size and types of available grants as part of its strategic planning.

The new logo deploys new fonts and style that better accommodates digital and creative marketing, is more community oriented as it displays the updated Riverfront Park Pavilion, and expresses more modern trends.

“We know that humans are visually driven, and our new logo meets that criteria,” Scofield said. “Our Board is very pleased and believes the new logo creates a positive first impression.”
