Registration is Open for SPSF STEAM-Powered Virtual Fundraiser

Oct 8, 2020

The fourth annual Spokane Public Schools Foundation’s STEAM-Powered fundraiser will be virtual for the first time ever. Normally held at the historic Steam Plant, the ongoing challenges presented by the coronavirus pandemic has significantly changed this year’s format.

“This year the Foundation has provided assistance to SPS for its COVID-19 needs for students and families,” said K.C. Constable, SPSF Foundation Board President. “During these difficult times the need for our support is even greater, and we rely on your help to continue to support these needs and to help ease the stress students display returning to the classroom, as well as prepare for future in-classroom grants.”

The STEAM-Powered fundraiser is scheduled for Thursday, November 5, 2020. The event is a fundraiser for the Spokane Public Schools Foundation (SPSF) for its classrooms and schools grants program. Registration is available now at http://event.gives/steampowered.

The event celebrates our Spokane Public Schools (SPS) students who are engaged in creative and innovative STEAM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Art-Mathematics) learning in our classrooms. In past years, students were on-hand at the event to showcase their work to you. Not to worry, you’ll be able to see many of these student presentations during the virtual fundraiser.

The event will air live from Hamilton Studios beginning at 6 PM, Tickets can be purchased for $45 and will include a burger and a beer from Barnwood Social and Brick West Brewing. You will not want to miss out on this amazing drive-in style double burger, chips and a cookie! – Burgers not your thing? That’s okay, we would love to have you still attend, and, you still need to register but attendance is free. With a fundraising goal of $100,000 be ready to bid on some great auction items to help us raise the funds SPSF needs to support our students.
