SPOKANE, WA – Parent volunteer leader Hilary Kozel was recently appointed to the Spokane Public Schools Foundation (SPSF) Board. She and her husband, Zack, have two children in the school district.

Hilary was raised in Moscow, Idaho, and spent 12 years in Boise in the banking industry before moving in 2009 to Spokane with her husband. Hilary volunteers for Spokane Public Schools, The Trevor Project (the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ young people under 25), and other local and national organizations.

"I was raised in a family of educators, and I believe a strong public school system is an investment in and a cornerstone of a community,” Kozel said. Hilary Kozel has a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Idaho.
