Lead Instructor and Owner - Kumon Math and Reading of Spokane
Sam has over 20 years experiences in both public and private sectors. He is the Lead Instructor and Owner of Kumon Math and Reading Center of Spokane, helping kids from 3 years old to high school thrive in learning. He worked at Spokane Riverfront Park for almost a decade, overseeing the operations before he joined Empire Health Foundation and pioneered a social service program supporting social workers and families of 20 counties in Central and Eastern Washington State.
He was the chair person for the 2015 award-winning Washington State Chinese Lantern Festival, which drew over 80,000 visitors. It was viewed as one of the best arts and cultural events since 74 World Expo in our region.
Born in China and educated in both China and the States, Sam is familiar with cross cultural communication and excels in relationship building. Sam was a past board member for Spokane Sister Cities Association, Spokane Chinese Association, Spokane International Academy and Downtown Spokane Business Improvement Board.
