Let us know your interest in volunteering

Some companies will match employee hours with matching funds. For example, Microsoft matches at a rate of $17 per volunteer hour. If you would like help coordinating matching funds for your volunteer time, contact us.

Spokane Public Schools has community service hours as part of their graduation requirements. If you are a student and need to complete your community service hours - this would be a great way to help your local schools, fill that graduation requirement and give back. Contact us for details!

Currently we have three committees needing volunteers. Committees are the front-line of the foundation and serve to perform the day-to-day operations.

Program Committee

The Program Committee conducts needs assessments, informs the board of the results and then develops programs that are aligned with the strategic plan of the board. The program committee is actively seeking volunteers to review grant applications, assist in the evaluation of programs, and participate in the development of program priorities for the next three to five years. If you are interested in these areas, please email us and put "Program Committee" in the Subject header. Your email will be forwarded to the Program Committee Chair.

Resource Development Committee

The Resource Development Committee plans house parties, special events, mailings, and other fundraising activities to support the strategic plan of the board. If you throw an amazing party, know people, and like to be out there, let us know - we need you! Please email us and put "Resource Development Committee" in the Subject header. Your email will be forwarded to the Fundraising Committee Chair.

Communications and Public Relations Committee

The Communications Committee advises the Spokane Public Schools Foundation on how to best "get the word out." We need PR specialists, media gurus, designers, and writers to join us and help us present a united and cohesive voice to the community. Experience is not required, just a desire to work in these areas. Please email us and put "Communications Committee" in the Subject header.
